Just had one this week.on FB Marketplace. I inquired about an item and seller said its was still for sale and when did I want to pick it up.I answered within a minute and asked if Friday was good and could I have an address.He didnt get back to me.I messaged him 2 more times and no response,,,,,Fork him and his item.
 
Some ship fast. Some ship slow . Some ship when ever the f&@$ they want. 🤣 I bought a chainguard from a certain Jerry awhile back. Waited 2 weeks before asking about its disposition. Said, “I’m very busy I’ll get to it asap.” Another 2-3 weeks go by, and it did get delivered. I totally agree, communication goes the miracle mile. It’s annoying when they’ll quickly take your money. Then crickets. If you’re a slow shipper, be upfront about it. If you’re busy, be upfront about it. Whatever the reason, be upfront about it. Someone gives you their hard earned money, be responsible. Don’t make them chase you for what they paid for!!! Just my 2cents.
 
I thought I'd share my current experience. Purchased an item from @Underground Bicycle Shop. An item I've been hunting for a couple of years and glad to finally find it. Item was paid for on 3/18 and seller said he would ship promptly.

It's now the 30th and I have not received item or even a tracking number. I reached out on Thursday the 28th asking for an update and tracking. A day later seller responded saying he would send the tracking number.

After two more requests for a tracking number... crickets. WTF Reed?

I'm glad to see other Cabers have had a decent experience but at this point I would say proceed with caution. How hard is it to communicate in this day and age... not very.

I guess I just expect more from the CABE community. Silly me 🤣

Let me guess..................you did not use a secure payment form like PayPal Goods & Services?
 
I've been informed by seller that "I told you I would add the tracking but not until you delete that thread", Well there you have it. No need for me to speak to his character.... actions (or lack thereof) speak louder than words.

Bought a pair of handlebars from him mid last month. They showed up relatively quick, I wouldn't worry for anyone else looking to buy.
