It's a real cool idea, preserving vintage bicycle tire's. I have a fairly nice collection . I used to ride on those , but to pricey to loose due to a blow-out (either from "old age" or plain ass stupidity like seeing who can skid the furthest) just ended the life of a Goodyear white wall. So I have opted to ride on Johns US Rubbers chains , or other modern tires just to be safe. One of the other "LOST" arts is the smell.. I can remember going to the Western Auto stores , Sears and Roebuck to get new tire or tubes and when you walked in ..the smell of tire rubber greeted you ..It is a long lost smell and experience from the past. The kids now day's have no idea...
