Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
I believe this is a 1940 or possibly 41 prewar Columbia 26" bike. Looks to be original although
the front rim looks to have been replaced with a newer drop center. Rear wheel looks original
and with New Departure brake. Original oil cloth Persons Majestic saddle and reproduction
Persons majestic deluxe big block pedals. Head light needs a better lens, some damage shown here and
the horn button button is missing but unit is intact. Beautiful Torrington bars with the unique
Westfield / Columbia profile. Tires are Goodyear Airhwheel, and
there is a slow leak in one of the tires. Plating and paint on this bike is just outstanding!
chrome on the bars stem, crank, sprocket look new but have not been replated. Just a
really nice looking deluxe bike with the alum gothic fender Persons reflector still in tact
and in excellent shape. Note: the bike has not been detailed, I can just imagine what a
thorough going over would do here.
