Look Ma, No Hands!
You are buying a well used showing lots of patina rare vintage Cinelli Riviera (Model C) Frame, Fork, Headset & seatpost binder clamp. Frame was purchased in Italy 10 years ago in Italy with headset, Steel Cinelli Tirolo Badged Tourist Bars (will list separately) and seatpost binder clamp. I had built it up (see two photos) and road it for several years but would like to go to someone that has ambition to fully restore for their Cinelli Collection. This frame was often set up with tourist bars or with drop bars as a sports tourer. It appears that maybe all or most of frame has evidence of light chrome plating or at least rear stay ends, fork tips and headtube. Note; sticker on seat tube is something from Italy and believe nothing to do with bike. Also frame and fork alignment have been checked and adjusted (only minor adjustment needed). Last two photos are just examples of different set up (Tourist & more Sporty Drop Bars).

  • Cinelli Riviera (Mod C) Model
  • Estimated late 1950's or early 60's vintage by original owner
  • 56cm Seat Tube (C-C)
  • 57cm Top Tube (C-C)
  • Bottom Bracket is standard Italian at 70mm not the very unusually 74mm that some Cinelli bikes had
  • Nice chromed seatpost binder clamp
  • Seatpost is 26.2mm size (typical for early Cinelli's), probably Columbus tubing???
  • Looks like original Heasdset (maybe Magistroni???)
  • Campagnolo single downtube lever included (frame has a braze on boss)
  • Thick (4mm) stamped out Drops (front and rear), no derailleur hanger for rear
  • 120mm rear OLN & 100mm front OLN
  • No Serial Number or other stampings
  • Frame has been weathered by use and time showing lots of patina but no signs of damage and would be a great candidate for a full restoration by a skilled craftsman. Only blemish is that the lower frame pump tab had been removed and filed down (see photo) probably rider had a frame wedge pumps and only needed the top tab???).
