Look Ma, No Hands!
For Sale, A vintage Japanese Miyata bicycle, post war, I think early 70 s.
I bought this from an estate of a WWII vet. he was a B-24 flight engineer in the Pacific theater .
I gave it a coat of USMC OD paint, and the Japanese script on the rear fender, to give it a WWII military look, it would great for some one doing a USMC impression with a captured bike , that was very common.
It is pretty close to the WWII bikes , didn't change much.
The bike is in good cond. rides good, it has rod brakes, and uses a band drum style in the rear.
Tire size is 26 x 1 3/8 . 20" frame.
All original , but the seat , I put the vintage Brooks on it.
The tires have some dry rot, but hold air , and are ride able.
These bike are a bit scarce , thought I would try my luck on the CABE
