Look Ma, No Hands!
Hello all,
Some of my vintage Sturmey Archer gears and parts can be seen on my Flickr site at this link:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/moonm/collections/72157714279868128/
Triggers for the 1940's - 1950's 3 speed fixed wheel ASC hubs are difficult to find, also the quadrant changers for the 1930's 2 speed fixed wheel TF hubs are difficult to find.
As a Covid lockdown project I decided to modify some standard triggers from the period to work with the ASC hubs, this included making 2 styles of new faceplates for the triggers, one without the window and one with the window.
I installed new springs and pawls plus I modified the ratchet to work with the ASC hubs.
I made the TF quadrants using NOS triggers and springs that I had on hand.
Cheers
Tony
