Wald Pedals Help!

Okay, what the secret? How do I disassemble these Wald pedals, or are they not able to be rebuilt? It doesn't seem I can get the top "washer" off with damaging anything. Can anyone share their experiences with this?

I could be wrong but I don't think that style of pedal can be serviced. V/r Shawn

They cannot be taken apart. To service them I soak them in Simple Green then rinse them out with hot water. Then either squirt in some white lithium grease or some 30 weight motor oil.

One of the pedals has a bent shaft and I wanted to get it apart to straighten that out as well.

Get a pedal straightening bar. Put on crappy blocks and bend the shaft back into place by placing the bar in the vice an bending the pedal. Takes more effort but it can be done.

Buy some good walds and rebuild them.
