Want info on TOC circa (1894-5) Wood and Leather padded hygenic saddle.
Came on a Mens unknown circa 1894-5 safety Just has 406 and pat. apl'd. for stamped on seat bottom. small screws and recesses on bottom are for attaching straps to hold on pads.
I also was wondering if keeping the original pads or having new pads made would be preferred. Original pads are perfect except for the attachment strips. was thinking of maybe just replacing the attachment strips?

Well, ugly rose colored house paint removed (did not want to come off),
Mint green arrows; harness wear tabs, lead.
Yellow arrows 3/32" openings for pivot rod inspection and locating.
White lettering; Pivot rod depiction and movement to remove.
Note... I spent days pondering how this was assembled so as not to destroy this kool saddle. it paid off!!
Rod was rusted solid inside right butt cheek wood, harness and left side moved freely.
Rod is moved to outside edge of butt cheek enough to allow rod to be slipped past harness bracket. Not an east task before. Now is a different story.
More pics soon.
