Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
Very cool and hard to find wartime era models, all from the hobby shop owner’s son. I’m told the shop closed in the early 50’s.

One is pretty much a box, the others appear to all be intact. NO metal or plastic in any of these. Decals still unused but very dry and curled up.

Prices as follows:

Falcon Model Aeroplanes Martin B-26 box and instructions: $5 plus shipping, or free with the purchase of any other model.

Falcon Model Aeoplanes Douglas A20-A: $35 plus shipping

Falcon Model Aeroplanes North American B-25 Mitchell: $35 plus shipping

Maircraft DeHavilland Mosquito: $45 plus shipping

Hi,

Nice models. The lack of metal or plastic make me think they are WW2 utility type, wood being more freely available for 'non strategic 'requirements. I have 'cheaper' wartime examples in cardboard!

I like the accidental irony of the Mosquito, the real thing was built out of wood for the same reasons (-:

Good luck with the sale.

Best Regards,

Adrian

Yup! Plastic and metal were crucial to wartime efforts. Been a while since I owned any wartime stuff. The last were some Shiny Brite Christmas ornaments. They had no silver plating inside. Some have cardboard hook rings too.
