Gray one is a smaller 18" frame like Shelby 300, with a McCauley #1001 tank.
Blue one is a taller 19" frame, like Shelby 350, with a McCauley #1000 tank.
(nominal dimensions).

Gray bike has interesting wheels/tires, (may have pre-dated the ~1935 taller frames, with balloon tires).
What type/kind and size are the wheels/tires on the gray bike?

I will have to check tires size when I get home. I do know they are 28” metal clad wheels. Will get back to you on tire size.

Not sure about that 3" tall-tank #1001; could it be a more standard #3 McCauley tank (2-1/2")?
The bike looks similar to the 28" Shelby Lindy models, but with different accessories; (late 1920's?).
