Western Flyer/Shelby?

Am/was in search of a ~late 40's Western Flyer made by Shelby. How'd I do? SN: HS 12126. Not too sure about the crankset and guard.

Can't really tell from the small pic, kinda looks like a Monark. I think that big badge was mid 50s at the earliest. Most Shelby WF's I've seen were around '39.

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully Shelby built, as my first bike came from Western Auto store ~500yds. from factory, hence the inquiry. If otherwise, so be it. Just would like to know. Can take more pics, measurements.

Actually, it looks to be a Huffman built Western Flyer to me. Can you post a pic of the serial number?
