What are your thoughts on putting these atom drum brakes on a 1941 auto cycle?

I need wheel for my 1941 auto cycle. Will this wheelset be a good buy for $660? Or is that price too high?

Dont know the value of the wheels but if you have an otherwise complete autocycle you should not do it.

thanks!'ps if if you just have a frame and fork with beat paint by all means build a "klunker"- I guess you would not hurt it by bolting on a wheelset but if complete, it would not
be as valuable as if you spent the money on an og set for an og bike................

I’m not home to take pictures, but by Friday I’ll post them. So you are referring to staying true to the original set up correct?

I see. My problem is that I have hills where I live and the original wheels and brakes will overheat. I’ve been told I need gears and drum brakes.

I guess you could look at your leisure to find og rims and bolt those on- try not to damage og paint with cable clamps stops etc. 660 will buy you a mountain bike to ride....

The wheels will probably not fit the spacing of the frame and fork dropouts anyway. I'd find the original ones myself as they would be a lot cheaper. Trevor
