Wow! @Miq glad you are OK!!!
Great that buddies were there to Witness;
and give the assistance to get you back in the saddle.
Get a new helmet as your Reward!
Pick out a Good one, make it yours.
My friend "Fearless" loves to ride;
helmet sticker, "put me back on my bike, I'll Be Fine."
Watch for "Road Hazards"
@Miq Good to hear you are doing okay. Maybe the traffic cone would be better than a rock. Or someone with a Cordless cutoff wheel could take it down. Stay safe and heel up well. Hammerhead
Rode my ‘30’s Mead badged “Crusader” motobike today
started early saw the sunrise.Got this bike in October, first attempt at long ride. Bike had some issues, so went to see my friend Luke at the bike shop just off trail. While there this bike came in Guy said he needed front brake fixed, We both looked at each other and simultaneously said “ Your fork is backwards and so is your fender”! Guy had commented my Mead had alot of hard miles. When he left I told Luke “ and he thought my bike was the piece of trash”.
Didn’t get as much riding in as I hoped but another beautiful cold day, low 20’s when I started today.
Quick 20 miles on this early afternoon.
1930's 'Ciclos Minaco II" with the 'Elan' chainring, backdrop is a lovely, pink-painted cottage wall in North Moreton.....
I picked up this 40-41 BFG DX last week , been cleaning it up and put some new tires on it this morning. At last minute I decided it was bike I was riding today. Was supposed to be cold and clear today, by time I got to trail the ground was white with snow! This wouldn’t be my choice of bike for these conditions.
Text my wife telling her I probably wouldn’t be riding that far, but old DX just chugged through it. I love snow and riding in it so I just kept riding….
About 1/2 way through my ride got tired of slipping on block pedals and rode back to van to install some bmx pedals , I had in it. Much better, no slipping and now I could stand and pedal. Towards end of my ride took this pic of 3 Eagles in one tree right on the river
Last day of the first month, 2023,
16 mile work loop today, tallies 810 miles total this month.
Too much rain made it tough to get out there.
Happy with it for "all the other things", especially.
Rolling home under the rising Waxing Gibbous moon; wondering....
