Happy Saturday!
Had to work; knocked it out;
went the long way home, for the beauty & relaxation.😎

Always something happening at the pier!

Rode a ‘30’s Hawthorne Flyer this morning

Been really enjoying riding by a headlight after not doing it for a few years

This is a remote trail so really dark out here, ( and a little spooky) but having fun early.

Rode 75 mi on Flyer and 25 mi on tandem which I forgot to take pic of , but we all really want to see vintage bikes anyway!

Rode the '92 Trek 750 in the New York Summer Streets event yesterday. For three Saturdays in August, the City closes off a route to traffic from the Brooklyn Bridge pedestrian path to 125th Street in Harlem.

Water break at 67th Street and Park Avenue.

Doing a few adjustments tonight including straighten the brake arm (see photo).

View attachment 1876544replacement is on the way, and removing a slight bend in the front rim so I can put the original wheels back on it. Removing 3 layers of different color paint from the head badge raising the seat and try to find the serial number under all that paint. So far it has the current pale green house paint over a dark metallic green which is over a bright metallic red paint, not sure if there is more. So far it's my favorite bike to ride though.
The Huffy was originally metallic red, and is a 1957. No idea yet of what model it may be.

25 miles on the 'Ciclos Minaco II' this afternoon (elliptical chainring and fixed gear).....

...it feels very strange when you jump on a 'normal' bike afterwards, like there's a dead-spot in your legs rotational movement.
It lasts for about half a mile, and feels very weird!

I just bought this.

Seeing your post of something similar in action really makes me want to buy a used version of this now!
...so that I can try it out. I like this one too much as an NOS display. It has a gate to let the sprocket drive pin "shift" 90 degrees.
