I finally got to ride the 36’ Iver Johnson. This is only the second vintage bike I have ever ridden any distance at all. Compared to the 37‘ DBR Roadmaster it is heavy and super solid feeling. The hub is Marrow rear and Iver front. The cranks are super smooth zero vibration in this bike. I can’t imagine this bike performed any better when new other than some loose pedal blocks. That being said the extra 5lbs (45 vs 40) and longer wheelbase and higher bottom bracket make it less nibble than the DBR CWC Roadmaster. The CWC is better on gravel and just bombing along hanging it out on loose turns ! This Iver is a great Asphalt trail traveler for me.
I kind of like the match ups and comparos. Only guy here likely that has never ridden a vintage Schwinn. I ran out of parts on a DX build but it’s going to be next bike up for a comparison. I got 14 miles on the 36’ Iver Johnson Moto Bike that never had a tank
