I celebrated by hitting the track with a friend on my recently neglected Redline! It's been a while since falling in love with PRPPL NRPPL
and wanted to remember myself how much fun the Flight Monocog is to ride.
Being a bit stiff from an afternoon of pulling weeds & remembering myself of the bike's nuances I took my time to stretch & warm up before pushing too hard. Then everything clicked & it was on!!
Had real good speed & flow going on this ridiculously light ripper to get in a couple hot laps in each direction before calling it a day. Heard my tires grabbing for traction a bit more than usual, I was flying!! But quickly realized coming out of a high speed 180° berm that my front tire collapsed & ended up on the ground.
A bit of road rash on the knee. Easy to fix. Sadly, my left shoe took the brunt of the damage. I bought these shoes with a gift certificate from my Dad & StepMom years before his passing so want them to last as long as possible.
Wish they could be fixed as easy as my knee but they still work. Just a little more character.
Now I gotta go fix a flat & pick a bike to meet a friend or few for lunch & ride!
