Rocked out in the garage yesterday polishing & protecting the last batch of small parts for the side by side tandem. It reminds me of Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde. One side was properly lubricated & assembled when new while the other side not so much.....šŸ¤“

Another day several more changes to my rocket bike. The nearest one I took off the aluminum fenders, changed the seat (although itā€™s too nice so I may change it again lol). My son is on Christmas break so heā€™s helping me and staying busy.

In an old bicycle newsletter @catfish said something along the lines of ā€œI must have changed it around a few hundred times.ā€ About his black rocket bike. He got it how he likes it. At least for the time being.
Thatā€™s the fun thing about these bikes. Every rocket bike owner has a different vision of how they want it! Such fun!

CWC cranks? And some sort of TOC sprocket??

Set the ultrasonic cleaner to 50ā° C today and dropped this over-painted sprocket in to see what it would take off. Silver paint seems to be no match for it.

Black paint didn't disintegrate like silver, but it started to bubble.

Made for one heck of a satisfying peel with the razor blade!

Too bad the chrome finish was already gone. You never know unless you try though.
