I know this is a Sears Roebuck bike, and I think it's from the 1970s, but other than that, I don't know what it is. It has a center shifter (5 speed) and dual back brakes. I tried to find a serial number on it, but it seems to have rubbed off. Any help is appreciated!

Wow, very "distinctive". I don't think the marketing guy that wrote that had much sense of what would grab the attention of 10 year old boys in 1970s. Cool, heavy, bitchin, stoked maybe but "distinctive"? He must have worked in the department that wrote catalog copy for lamps and silverware...
