What do you all do for Cadmium plating when restoring a bike?

fender braces etc. Most people dump it all in a box and expect
miracles. Most cad platers will not polish or detail parts..
simply strip, tumble and plate. You get what you give!

Bob brings up a good point here. The first time I sent stuff out for cad I assumed they would prep like they do chrome-nope! I was sorely disappointed and that along with poor business operations and a language barrier led to a miserable experience with that company.

Can you provide a couple sources in So Cal for CAD plating?
 
I just dropped off all the parts to my 76 Scrambler for Detray to do since I live here in KC. $175 minim for cadmium plating.

I've used DeTray quite a bit and always very pleased withthe results. You mention the minimum. If I remember correctly you can send quite a few parts for $175. I usually try to get three or four bikes worth together to send at one time.
