Today's project, fenders for my '49 Hawthorne.

Had to get the poopty red fake bfgs off this thang and put a couple real tires and get some bars on it and took it for a spin and wala….amazing runner…,USA typhoon in back and killer atlas up front! Made due with what I had on hand….swapped lever out also and slapped some shiitty repop grips on it which worked great! And a tail…,

and had to put finishing touches…

1939 Colson Snap tank I built up out of spare parts

Laced up one wheel, still looking through my pile for a matching front hoop. Stainless double butted spokes, 3/4" nipples , 1939 dated Morrow and green chaintreads

Hoops were "De-Anodized" with brand name EZ-OFF Oven Cleaner and a plethora of elbow grease in regard to cleaning sanding polishing etc. N'Booze!

Beer, armor piercing ammo, tracer rounds, the only thing missing is 1930S anti tank rifle on skis. I remember when Shotgun News had the whole works WWII Finnish anti tank rifle on sale in cosmoline, including the ski tripods. I missed that one, cheap. Dang. The moral, whenever you see something you want, buy it right now, regardless cost, to sort of unreasonable point.

This bike deserved to be saved… the rest of it was in such good shape despite the battery acid damage on the frame and tank.. most probably would’ve parted this out but not this wacko… got her fixed up and patina matched.
