As a kid I would pull old bikes out of the scrap metal pile at my local dump, and make riders. I've always liked vintage stuff.

Old Balloon bikes were free. Venice beach in the 60's. Not much around there was new then. Then we noticed the differences. Hooked for good

Being the youngest of three boys I got to part out the leftover bicycle to keep mine on the road! It was 4 miles to my country school!

I was a latchkey kid in middleschool and high school. I'd hang out at my friend's house every day and have dinner there most nights. My friend had a schwinn fastback, and convinced me that old schwinns were cool. Also, they loved vw's. I went out of my way to find old bikes and vw's. I dont think I had any interests of my own to pass onto them.
