Cruisin' on my Bluebird
I just want to take a ride on this 1930 Columbia. I see some rubber on ebay but I am not sure if they will fit a steel clad wood rim or not. This is the first time I have tried to get one of these going and do not want to spend much on it really. I would buy a used set but they are probably more expensive. I really do not no much about this size bike. I see on ebay there are sellers that say there tires will fit steel clad for around $45. I View attachment 689362 View attachment 689362 am not sure what to buy. Thanks for any help you guys can provide, or offer up for sale. Thanks, Kirk

I've had pretty good luck grooving metal clads for clinchers. First read about it on the Cabe, I believe Bikewhorder first posted the process. Probably done more than a half dozen pairs. The 700 tires available on Ebay & Amazon, can be a little inconsistent as far as the actual ISO is concerned. I find that the Schwalbe 700x38 are a really good fit & ride very well.
