What model do we have here?

A friend picked this beauty up this morning. Appears to be 52? by the serial number. S-2 rims, feather guard, bolt on kickstand and shallow fenders. Wondering what model this is. Badged as Flying Star. Killer paint scheme. Any help is sure appreciated.

52 make sense for the year?

D-75 Spitfire Equipped or Deluxe, and a nice one at that. I do see a hole in the front fender for a light.

And it has the dreaded A B C serial number also used in 1953. So either a 1952 or 53 model, I'm betting on 52 since it has the guard with no name decal. Right in the middle of the guard with name transition.
