what oil do you use on your ND Model D?

Need to sit down and rebuild a Model D here soon. I was going to use a medium hydraulic oil for it, but thought I best get some input first.

I think they recommend 30W, but I used 10-30..that helps with cold weather start up.

What they are telling you is those brakes were designed to use normal 30 weight motor oil. Hydraulic oil will not work as well in the ND model D application. They could have said it nicer but they didn't. Roger
