Took my '37 CWC built Pilot DBR out for a decent ride today between rain showers. The Nexus 3spd was dialed in well, and it rode like a dream.

I have a prewar Hawthorne that looks very similar to this that I bought off feebay last year that I started to build,but have yet to finish. Mines black with a red tank that looks pretty cool.and the reason I bought the frame was for the tank.. Enjoy and RideOn.. Mark

What are these frames normally around 18.5 inches or smaller? Nice old Schwinn.

Threw some parts at my '49 CWC made Hawthorne, and headed out for a short ride around the neighborhood. Short because it was dark, rode nice though.

Well, earlier this week last ride on the Collegiate rat before it gets blown apart the supply parts for other rat project.

The streets dried out just enough for me to take out my ‘62 Schwinn. 2 speed kickback, nothing is original.
