Rebuilt the rear hub, added the rack, finally attached the rear fender, swapped on new tires., aligned seat, bars and guard. It's
"finished".. For now.
I'm not sure what category this bike now fits in. Had to put it in a middle gear by hand and took it out for a bit and stopped at the local bike shop for some shifter cables and housings. Going to convert the rear to a modern disc brake and the front to a 70's Shimano disc brake this week. The plan ahead and drag my feet braking system is not as effective as it sounds. Lol. Changing the front tire out with a BMX tire. Not sure about the saddle, thinking older hard leather mane or a banana seat with a tall sissy bar. And I'm changing the bars to a pair of short apes from the 70's. And have started gathering parts to turn that fork into a springer. So it's my Road/MTB/BMX/cruiser Aluminum 24 speed Chopper.
Wow, haven't seen this in quite a few years. Me and my brothers used to do that to our bikes back in the day. You should put some on the rear chain stays then you'd have 3x the flapping power. Great idea Austin. RideOn.Mark.
