What Should I Do With This Tank

It is on my 1958 Black Phantom. Would you recommend a complete restoration (new paint and new decal)?

Can I paint around the decal with black paint to make it look decent, or would that look unprofessional?

Should I just leave it alone?

I wouldn't do a thing but ride it. If you touch it, it's going to be very obvious it was redone and look inconsistent with the rest of the bike. It's a beauty just as it is!
