My old steel bikes aren't as old as most here - oldest is 1957, but I begin with JP Wiegle's Frame Saver inside the tubes.

I have been looking for such a thing. How does that JP Wiedgle's work?

you spray it in the tubes, swash it around, let it cure a bit and drain it.
If you search bicycle frame protector, there are other brands, as well.

My oldest bikes are from 1955. I have bikes from 1966, 1987, and 1991 that concern me greatly. One was found in a barn with a repaired frame, the other in a swampy backyard, and the last was in the junkyard, buried in the mud and scrap barbed wire. I hear little particles bouncing around.

LPS-3 is as good as Framesaver. Cheaper too. I switch back and forth. I like the idea of giving it to a fellow bike guy, especially one as cool as J.P.
