What to tell Stutzman and what Spokes to get?

Look Ma, No Hands!
Got some cash to spend again and want to order 28-inch wood rims from Stutzman's in Ohio. I had already ordered Amsterdam Electras for the project and, being new to the hobby I need to know how to specify what I need to the rim maker. Clincher-type and be sure to put valve hole across from the joint.. what else?

Also, what length/type of spokes and nipples fit between a ND model C and the Stutzman rims? Is memorylaneclassics a good source?

(189? tandem project)

The wood rims I bought for riders have an aluminum inset rim inside

of the wood. They are being painted (striped) right now and will I will

be lacing them soon. ........12" spokes, if I'm not mistaken......?

So what should I be looking at given the specs listed at Phil Wood for example?

Straight Pull: 14 and 15 ga. (1.8 and 2.0mm)
Straight Gauge: 12, 13, 14, and 15 ga. (1.8, 2.0, 2.3, and 2.6mm)
Single Butted: 2.3-2.0
Double Butted: 2.0-1.8-2.0 (270 and 310mm blanks)
1/2" and 5/8" nipples

Go with the heaviest gauge because of the extra weight with the tandem?

I would call PhilWood and tell them what you are building. They can custom make anything for your bicycle.
