Finally riding a big boys bike
I picked up a Columbia Special middleweight and fixed it all up. On the head tube, behind the bezel, there was this corrugated metal foil thing (see photos). I've seen the same foil thing on Columbia Fire Arrows and Super Cyclones. Some bikes had it as a rectangular sheet instead of coming to a point at the bottom. I was determined to reproduce that thing, and after many trials and errors, I got it (the 2nd photo shows the reproduction next to the original). I am now listing it on eBay but struggled to find the right description to use so that someone who might be looking for it can find it.
I listed it as "Head tube badge sheet for vintage Columbia Fire Arrow, Special, Cyclone". Does anybody have any better words to describe it?
Thanks!
