Just picked up today, trying to figure out what is/isn't correct about it. Any Haverford experts?

Crank set looks to have some Emblem NY dimensionality. Was Haverford a jobber?

Looks like the crank set is from a emblem. Though the one pedal that was left with it looks exactly like what's on the white Pierce in the reference thread. The forks also look like a perfect match to the pierce. From what i found online Haverford was a jobber/parts bin special seller.
On some deeper digging, it appears emblem bought out pierce in 1917, It seems to be boiling down to this being a emblem frame.
and probably made between 1917-23?

Did you literally drag this out of the woods?......If so...i want to hike where you do.
After you posted this, I dug out a drop frame emblem that I have.
Some things that are specific are oversized fork tube diameter and headset....and oversized crank cone and locknut....also the serial should be on the bottom bracket......sometimes on the top drive side.
Also 2 inch drive pin spacing on the chainring.
Real nice find.
Attached are some pictures for reference

I'll admit i didn't have to drag it very far out of the woods... had to fight a few thorn bushes for it though. it was at a 1880's farmhouse.
The old lady that it belonged to said they used it as a lawn ornament till they got sick of it and chucked it in the woods line!
Big thanks for dragging out your emblem for reference!
Attached some updated pictures for everyone, including head tube measurement. it appears the bike was either originally (emblem) red and painted black along time ago or they used a two stage with red primer? Maybe this was just haverford respraying already complete emblem frames? tough call as there isn't a ton of paint left...

Cool story,
Great score.
This one made me look again at a few emblem frames that I have.
After quite a bit of research, I still am confused with the serial numbers, and can't be sure about a 5 digit number.

What is known is that Emblem was producing frames/bicycles long before they acquired the pierce name/equipment and moving production to angola.

There is alot there that points to an early emblem built.

I couldn't say much about Haverford, as I don't know, however emblem commonly badged hardware stores, bike shops etc.

I like the look of the finish as you have it now, just sorta cleaned up a bit.
