Look Ma, No Hands!
Hi all! I picked these two bikes up as part of a larger deal and I'm undecided what to do. I've always loved these small Schwinns and there ARE a lot of little ones arriving in my family but space is always a concern. So, whats the move? Sell complete? Better for parts?

The Lil' Tiger would be my preference to keep but it will require a lot more work.I'd also like to swap the wheels/tires out for pneumatic if it turns into a full-blown project.

The pixie could use the addition of the top bar and a front tube but otherwise is ready to go AND we've got a banana seat!

Can't keep em' all! What's the value here? They would look good hanging on the wall but I'd love to see them ridden again.

'Lil Knee Scuffer
Nice! I love them!
My advice: Fix ‘em as needed. Let the kids ride them around. Take pics. The photos will be WAY more valuable than the bikes.
I also have a few that I got in bulk deals and I can’t get rid of them.
Actually thinking of just donating mine to the local Savers. They take up too much space.
Good luck, have fun!

Over the years I would pickup a stray pixie or lil tiger. I would clean them up make them ridable. When a friend or family member would have a child old enough to start riding a bike, I would give them the pixie or lil tiger as a birthday gift. Over the last several years, I've gotten pictures that they still have them. It's so cool to see that they were a big part of they're childhood.

I would disassemble, clean, make sure everything was safe to ride. I didn't replace the solid tires and would keep the training wheels. But that was over 20+ years ago. Back then those would help keep balance. I know kibs are on those gliders at an earlier age now.

My lil tiger is has cracked rubber tires. Where can I find replacements @Schwinn1776
I'm sure, if you post in the wanted section on here, a fellow Cabers would have them. I'm not really sure nowadays. Back in the day, I was fortunate to have Faber's bike shop in San Jose, Anthony & Alix had everything.

I’m actually selling it this wkend at town wide yard sale as is. Would’ve replaced the wheel if I found one.

Unless it's just the photo angle looks like the PIXIE took a hard knock to the head and is in need of some frame/fork straightening. Good looking bike though otherwise. Contact Detroitbike here on the Cabe I understand he has some of those hard rubber tires, might have the ones you need for the Lil' Tiger.
