I dont know when but I am sure glad it happened.lol I learned that if you put a tarp under the work area you dont have to try finding ball bearings rolling out of sight on the garage floor.
 
I like the patent page for reference. When I work on wheels with loose bearings, I place the wheel on a five gallon bucket to catch the bearings that fall and use an old piece of split hose on the rim for a cushion.

These guys started the Star Ball Retainer Co. (Star) in Lancaster, PA. The Star cabinets that pop up occasionally are made by this company.
