Our late friend Mike Leebolt, TR6SC, had a sweet cruiser 27 Silver King that he stuck a Nexus 5 (?) speed or maybe 8 speed and that made it a reasonable hill climber of those o bus who qualify as 'vintage riders' ourselves.

I had a chance to ride it a few times.

You need some gears hill climbing with that exerciser sprocket! But on the flat watch out

from France I propose my own local classic bike builder. He literally builds these from scratch, even making the tubing from flat sheet if the diameter he wants is unavailable. And a nice bloke too.

For a spoon brake, look for an old German bike. Some used a "stempel bremse" into the 1970s-

Hello everybody. Just would to show you this nice racer i have entirely made, manufactured in 3 copies in 2018 and recently sold the second one . I can imagine it's not very interesting for the vintage lovers who could think it's just a copy but very intersting (at least for me!) to understand...

I don't know if my dad ever rode a Silver King, but he did sail on Liberty Ships as a merchant mariner in WW2.

This was incredibly helpful. Using that search, I came across an amazing webstore in Germany that sells a lot of cool vintage and new bike parts.
