They're awesome cuz they're fat. They now suck because of the grey hi-viz reflective strip all the way around them :(

I removed mine including the black lettering as you can see on
the photos.

add on: Requires elbow grease , patience & plenty of
common sense "safety procedures ".

i was wondering if there was a way to do this.... don't mean to change the subject. how'd you do it???

i love the ride of these tires... and i'd buy a new set if it wasn't for the lettering and reflective tape.

I posted this if you care to check it out .

And this is how I did it...
It's a slow /dirty process .
I did it in a well ventilated area.
I used acetone/paint remover & wd-40 oil spray.
with plenty of old rags.

I did it in sections. Not all at once.
I used as little as possible & rubbed it until the stuff
came off followed by wd-40 oil followed by soap & water
to remove the stuff completely & prevent damage to the rubber.

If possible
Don't sandpaper or scrape with a knife...it might come off easier
but you don't want scratch marks on the tires. (maybe a plastic card)
Just keep rubbing with a old cloth or towel. Lots of elbow grease.
& patience !

But in the end you'll have a nice smooth finish with none of that
writing or tape.

It's been almost a year & my tires show no signs of deterioration
at all from subjecting them to these materials. Just make sure you
you wash them thoroughly.

Others may have a better method &
I'm not saying this is the correct way or recommending this...but
since you asked !

Good Luck !

Use caution: wear gloves in well ventilated area . Work in short
periods . Wear safety protection to avoid exposure to breathing
in toxic materials.

The only downside is this...

Maybe I can get my pal Bricycle to go in front of me & lay
down some cardboards to keep my tires clean while I ride...
