Wiring a black phantom brake lite

Does anyone know howto wire the brake light on a Black Phantom. There is a wire with a connecting device that looks like it fits on the axle.

Fantastic!! I wondered what that thing was in the groove on the outer bearing cap.
This is exactly what I needed. Now to see if I can make it work!!
