Women’s Monark-year?

Good morning. Just picked this up. Missing a few things and has a few issues (crack in train light, etc). Any help on year would be great. Thanks.

I can verify later but either ‘53 or ‘54. It’s missing the tank and rack. V/r Shawn

That’s kind of what I was thinking too but I wanted to narrow it down. I bought it from the original owner. Nice woman who got the bicycle when she was eight years old living in Chicago. They didn’t have a garage so she had to haul it up and down the stairs all the time.
