Schwinn Hornet, only picture I have, not sure of year. Obviously painted over in most places but can see HORNET on chain guard.

I’d say no. You could probably find one with decent original paint for that price. Maybe offer $150 or so looks like it has nice s7 wheels, tank and rack.

1959-60 model with aftermarket fenders missing a mess of the good parts. You could get your money back parting it with some work.

In my location that would be the absolute maximum....In Detroit where you are I would say it's way too much. The Detroit CL is loaded with low price MW's.
