Alright then, and thanks for askin!!!
So ya see, I have these neighbors, let's call them the Clampett's. Well, the Clampett's bought two beat up old travel trailers that they're going to convert to workshops for the little lady's million dollar idea of the month. Of course the conversions will never happen, and these trailers will forever be skirting the property line, along with a couple of their vehicles that actually do overhang the property line by a couple of feet. These people have over an acre of property, yet they dump all their crap where we're trying to have a nice little natural area.
Well sir, I finally had had enough and decided it was time to build a fence. I found a good deal on CL for all the lumber I needed, and emailed the guy twice, but got no reply, so I ended up calling him at around 8 that evening. I don't generally call people from CL, because I don't want them to have my phone number. Anyway, he answers and I find out that it's about 20 miles away, in an area that I tend to avoid because of the high crime rate. He sounded kind of weird, and said I should come over right away because it may not be there the next day. I told him I didn't have that kind of cash on me, and besides it would be getting dark soon, but I'd call him in the morning to see if he still had it.
The next morning I did call and tried emailing several times but there was no answer or reply. So I just gave up. That is, until he finally called me back early that afternoon.
He was really beginning to sound a bit too eager, but I shrugged it off and said I'd meet him at his place.
As I'm driving, I'm thinking about how I should take a look at what he has without having the actual money in my pocket. Then, I start thinking that there might be more than one person there, and how would they know that I didn't have any money in my pocket, and what's to stop them from hitting me over the head anyway? The bad scenarios were beginning to outweigh any potential good ones, so I turned around and came home.
After I called him to let him know I wouldn't be making the purchase, I received two more phone calls from him offering to deliver the wood to my home. Yeah, right, like I was going to give this guy my address!
Still no fence, and still no trailer conversions. But I am finding that the Clampett's trailers are helping to block our view of THEM. Of course they're probably thinking they're blocking their view of US too!
