WOw a post war scwinn I would even like to own

-
It looks like it was taken apart, placed in storage, and put together by a non-bike person to sell.

I had my tank way back like that too, because the fork will come around and hit it. Mostly only a problem when trying to move the bike around to get it out of the garage or something, but still kind of annoying. That is the one thing I didn't like about that bike. Seems like Schwinn could have put a little more thought into that design.

Its funny, some 41s had fork bumpers welded to the frame to stop such a thing. But for whatever reason stopped including it after the war. The weird thing is that just some 41 frames had it. Ive even seen them on DX models... So it wasn't just a canti thing. I always wondered why it didn't catch on after the war...?
