Looking for a nice Schwinn middeweight model bike for a person who is 5’6” tall. 2 speeds would be nice, Red, Blue or Green, but will look at all colors. 1971 would be a "nice to have" year, birth year bike, but not critical.

Unfortunately, the actual "Cruiser" model was not available yet in 1971. There weren't any Balloon tire(26x2.125") bikes offered by Schwinn for adults that year either. Your options look like the Middleweight Heavy Duty or the Typhoon models.

Also there is a "wanted" section for listings like this.

Thanks for the information. I think what I’m referring to is a Middleweight model like the Typhoon, Jaguar and others like it. She wants a man’s model for the look, but she’s pretty flexible on the color. Single speed is ok, but a 2 speed would be great!

You would be looking for a 24 inch bike if you want some thing smaller. 5'6" could ride a 26 inch but for her maybe 24 is better.

1961 2 speed 26 inch . I'm 5-8 and too small for me . the 2 speed doesn't shift into low , just needs new grease

Got a May 1970 Schwinn Breeze—blue, 2-speed kickback, 24" wheels. Might be a touch small for 5'6", but a solid middleweight ride. DM if you want pics. It's rough 'barn find' but with a tune up and some TLC it will be a fine cruiser!
