I hold for you till next week
NICE thanks!

For drum brake hubs, you can find many old moped wheels on ebay or CL for really cheap. The front hubs range from Grimeca to Lelui (spelling?) And other brands, and the size is about the same as an Atom drum.

Rear moped drums usually have a single freewheel, and the other side has the engine drive sprocket 6 hole mount, but you can grind them off, or just leave them.

Rears are 135mm, so you have to spread the frame, but that's easy.

Rim size is 16" or 17" usually, so you'll have to respoke the hubs into bike rims, unless you're building a bmx bike. (16" is motorcycle sizing, which equates to a 20" bicycle wheel and 20" bike tires will fit on them.)

Probably more info than your friend needs, but...

I've bought them for as little as 20 bucks a pair.

Oh, and they use 12 or 11g spokes.

HE wants to do His Cruiser 5's with dual drums.... So IDK if he would bite.

On a side note, I knew about the tire sizr thing because I at one point had come across an old Honda Moped with a blown engine and I used the Michelin tires on a custom 20" build I had done up then.
I might look into it because moped drums end to work more effectively than those poor atoms ever do and I could in theory use the moped drive gear for my Greenville ChinaDoll build
Frame spreading for a respoked moped drum + 5speed........
I know it CAN be done, but should it? The farthest I have spread a rear triangle was to accommodate on a 84 Cruiser that I decided to swap out for a 7 speed...that damn thing was fun as a 21 speed abd ended up stolen later

I am wondering if anyone might have a line on a war era Morrow coaster brake sleeve? I could find the split ring clutch driver but not the actual brake shoe/sleeve.
I currently have a decent rim with double butted spokes and a Morrow, but the brake is in 2 pieces as is one half of the two piece clutch driver ring
