It's 8-1/2" overall, not hole to hole.

Re-measured to see if it had a chance of fitting and it’s just too long. I really appreciate your offer to help me with my Troxel. Thanks

Weld it. Easy fix, original part!

It broke at a previous weld so looking for an original intact part. Apparently these fragile antique saddle chassis aren’t load rated for my 250 pound butt!

Sleeve with a piece of steel tubing and silver braze. It should hold but might affect the spring strength...I might have a replacement, I will look
