Nice work! I was thinking that a drill was being too delicate — perhaps a simple disk grinder would have been my choice.
Is the fork a Snyder built part?

Not sure. I thought the bike they came off of was a womens Schwinn but now I'm not too sure. All I have left of the bike is the forks, stem, and crank assembly. I think the cranks are Schwinn?

Nice! I wonder if the friction heat from drilling off the bolt head helped loosen things up? Great save!
