WWI Military Columbia?

What do I have here? It's got a unique bottom bracket porthole.

Their was just a Reading Standard going to memory lane that looked just like this bike I saw it in person and a few elements are really different as a matter of fact im thinking this is the one

Yes this is the bike from ML but. Jesse McCauley saw this bike too at Memory Lane, and he thinks it's a Columbia. I'd like a second opinion.

WW1 Columbias are really heavily documented on the cabe - the entire bottom bracket shell is a totally different size and shape than this one -I saw this bike at a small show in NJ ( I own a ww1 Columbia ) the bars and grips are totally correct as are the fenders from 50 feet my heart skipped a beat when I saw it though LOL

I sanded the head tube to see if there is a shadow of the head badge on the under paint. Can someone make it out what it might have been?

It's a Columbia but not a Military Model. It has the 3 piece Columbia chain ring assembly like my 1913 Columbia Model 213 (pictured below). Probably a 1913-1914 model. I have a 1915 Columbia Double Bar that is Lenox Badged with the Columbia DD chain ring instead of the 3 piece model. I love this era of bicycle. A joy to ride.

Just to say that i know a WW1 COLUMBIA 1918 in wreck with this type of chainring at a collector in France, now, why, i do not know...
