Great information, I was under the impression that the bearings themselves were the the issue. Races and bearings both look good.

This is a case where I might consider re-using the old bearings. There's the possibility that new bearings would be harder than the old ones
 
Reusing get the old bearing is the plan....I have a Roll fast that I purchased some bearing for but didn't want to pry them out of the cage as I thought I could damage it. Would love to replace them.
I'll have to check all bearing surfaces...thanks, Bart
