Year ID help Schwinn straight bar

Hey all, I’ve had this bike since 1993. Restored it in 1996 it was really rusty and rough and that was the thing to do in the 9Os!!! I always thought it was a 46-48 but there weren’t many serial number charts for early post war . The number is I66921 as best I can tell. It has a fat center straight bar and regular post war rear drop outs, I added the kick stand as it didn’t come with one when a Larry and Harv sent it to me!!! Any help with the year is appreciated, Gary

I serial was early postwar 1946.

Yep, 46. The pre-war and war numbers H-I-J continued post war. Haven't seen an early post war K though.
