A friend just bought what looks like a 1951 schwinn spitfire. The serial # is H43883. All the numbers for 51 have one more digit than this number. The number is on the bottom bracket and there is nothing that could be another number, even lightly stamped. H437160 is the highest # I find, so they don't even go into the 438 #'s. Am I missing something?
