I agree. Kaplan told me specifically that he redesigned this bike to be rideable. The original bikes had a fatal flaw in the design which caused them to breakdown and fall apart. His repro design meant to solve this problem making only about 160 total reproductions to date which are rideable (of those that exist). He really put a lot of time and care into making these bikes and it shows! This is a gorgeous bicycle!

This is a reproduction bike, vary nice and useable ,i had one and rode it quite often, I have two originals that are very nice display modals ,I would not try ride them as they are probably close to double the money you are asking, you have a great useable bike ,,good luck with your sale

That seat, stem, pedals, and wheels were not used on the originals. That tag isn’t like the originals (see below for an original tag-Bomard Industries). I'm inclined to think Ken is correct that this is a Kaplan repo. @BICYCLE HEAVEN what ye say about this one?
