3 inches wide - 21 inches from back top to front top - about 18 3/4 inches from bottom back to bottom front
also fits this elgin

CABE Member .. tech549 ... is offering For-Sale a McCauley No. 1001 tank.

It is correct for the frames shown in this CABE thread. This is a fairly-difficult
tank to locate ... and in the nice condition it is shown, very-desirable - as empty
frames are locatable.

The N.O.S. tanks that come up for sale with some regularity are the McCauley
No. 1000 tank. The bicycle frames that can utilize the 1000 are near-impossible
to locate. The No. 1000 tank fits the '34 / '35 Shelby Motorbike frame.

It looks to be the same thing I had on my Hawthorne but it is always good to help the sale when they can see it on the bike. It looks like a great Buy
